Wow...I'm so tempted to return the 5870 & 5850 and get that...probably wouldn't be right, though.
What a deal! Would be around $420 with the rebate and promo code together!

    Thanks, Mike!
Unfortunately that promo code is only for "ABS" cases / PSUs, which I just found out by trying it on the HAF 932 case.

The GSKILL 4GB DDR3 code is nice, though - that's really awesome RAM, and the 10% off on mobos works.

EDIT: I used those promo codes and netted me a little savings on the RAM and MOBO. Now I just have to order the case and CPU.

You get the biggest bang for the buck with this card right now. I compare GFLOPS between cards but if money is no option, then of course the 5970 is the way to go. Sorry about the formatting, I can't seem to figure how to get all of the numbers in a row.

Card GFLOPS Cost GFLOPS/$ Cost per GFLOP
    HD 5850 2088 $189.00 11.05 $0.09
    HD 5830 1792 $165.00 10.86 $0.09
    HD 5870 2720 $269.00 10.11 $0.10
    HD 5970 4640 $700.00 6.63 $0.15

If moneys not the issue the 5870 x2 is the way to go

Or for those on a budget who still want some impressive firepower... $140 after MIR PLUS a game (which you can sell and cut your costs even more): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-497-_-Product

I own one of these and it will do 200K in DNETC a day.
