They say its much faster. New engine and other code, better optimization, etc...

Edit: I'm waiting for all my add-ons/plug-ins/Themes to update to FF 5. Then I'll switch.

ANYTHING is better than IE. I've been running FF for years now and I ain't gonna stop using it anytime soon, unless the managers of BOINC somehow take over!

I haven't switched to 5.0 yet because of the above stated items. Now I notice that they have come out with 6.1 Beta.

RETIRED. NO JOB. NO MONEY. NO WORRIES!

Crunched SETI Classic to the end.

Try the link. It will work just like win7 compatability. You can put you add-ons into FF 5 or I now have them in 6.1 Beta. They work fine.

MozDev has changed their update cycle in order to "Keep Up" with the IE Dev team... Lame. Its all about public perception. I guess much of the general public thinks that which ever browser has the highest number is the better app. Stupid Stupid STUPID! Man, mundanes really know how to Fubar the tech industry........

    Moving on....

I just checked the update status of my add-ons and they all have updates for FF-5. So I think I'll go ahead and give 5 a whorl.

Edit: I am going to beckup my current install with MozBackup just in case I decide FF-5 sucks

Good Plan, I may update to 5 as well 4.0 for me wasn't so good, I prefer the 3.x way of doing it, no idea why they needed to mess with it.. I like my toolbars and couldn't figure out how to get them to show up properly, so gave up.
