    New Case for Puma

So I moved Cheetah into the Thor V2 case, and now I need to invest in a new case for Puma, as the case it's in will not cut it for the next round of upgrades. I'm torn between getting another Rosewill Thor V2 because I like it overall and it's monster huge...or something new, just to try.

    Rosewill THOR V2
Pros: HUGE. 10 expansion slots in the back, no matter what mobo or GPU setup, they will always fit. @ $120, I don't know if it can be beat yet.
Cons: ??? I don't know...it's one of those cases you either really like, or hate the look of - I kind of like it, but I don't think it's as nicely "polished" on the finish touches as my HAF 932 was, or as "expensive looking" as a HAF-X, etc - not that it really matters.

    Thermaltake Chaser MK-1
Pros: Fry's has it on sale local for $109. Looks cool with the window and I like the styling, 2011 Newegg reader's choice award for best chassis, and ThermalTake is a good PSU/HSF/Case brand - airflow should be top notch.
Cons: "only" 8 expansion slots in the back so it's not quite as flexible as the 10 available in the Thor V2. However, that should fit most triple GPU setups and at least some quad GPU mobos. Do you think I'll honestly ever need more than 8 in the back? I had to "upgrade" from my HAF-932 because 7 wasn't enough. Only other con is extra $15 for a 200mm side fan, but the case is on such a good sale, that's not that big of a deal.

    Thanks for any feedback.

I've never had a Haf case but I do have a Thermaltake Black Shark full tower and love it. It is made from heavy gauge metal and is heavy. I think most of there products are made well. The side mount for the HD drives have rails to attach to the HD's and then they can be slid in or out as needed. Cable management is great and the bays for the floppy and cdroms also have slides. As the old ad says..."Try it, you'll like it."

Thanks, C303a, I'm really happy to get your feedback. I've never had a Thermaltake case, but I've had 2 of their PSUs, and I'd put them up against the Antecs and the Cooler Masters, they are very good - hold steady voltage at high load and quiet, too! Well, nothing like a good testimonial, thanks. I'll go see if Fry's has that Thermaltake in stock, Puma is putting out some heat when it runs Donate, and with some upgrades planned in the near future . . . it's time for a bigger case.

I think you will like the case. Here is a link to it on the Thermaltake site. Lots of good views and all the specs.
