Is it possible to turn these textboxes off?

I am REALLY annoyed by the text boxes that appear on the forums:

Is there any way of turning them off??

I found it but there is a catch. It is a global setting which means the setting effects all users.

I made an interesting observation...

When I log onto the MB using a Linux Distro, the textbox does not appear...Chromium browser....??

Yes, it could be. Maybe it is something that can turned on/off in browser options?

Sometimes compatibility problems can be a good thing. I was wondering what everyone was talking about. What text boxes?
