Activity Stream Decision

The majority of people who visit these forums use www.setiusa.us to do so. As the forum is currently configured the Activity Stream is the Home page or "Landing" page. Before the update the "Front Page" was the Home Page.

Here is the problem as I see it.

The Front Page is where all special announcements are posted, where the "Section Menu" which lists links to the BOINC FAQ, project info, etc... as most of you know. So the question is, what is more important for the first time or casual visitor to see? The Activity Stream or the Front Page?

Note: I have rearranged the Front Page to make the Recent Posts section stand out more which by the way is very similar to the Activity Stream.

Doh, I think I finally see what you mean here now, this is certainly different now, but it can be customized..

In the admin panel, go to Settings->Navigation Menu and set the Articles to be the default. Simple enough change.

And I agree that it should be set.

Yeah, sorry if my posts in the other thread were confusing BOK. I get that alo when I try to describe things to people.

I figured it could be changed via the admin CP but hadn't looked so thanks for the tip. I may play around with the hyperlinks on the link bar under the page banner.
