    What project do you think would get the most stones out of a 7970m?

    Poorly. They share naming, and that's about it. wikipedia usually has very good charts to compare.

    Yeah, the heat output of these high end GPUs is insane and I'll bet they would kill a lappy in probably less than 30 mins of all out crunching from the heat! Not to mention you'd be carrying around an AC/DC transformer the size of a brick just to run your laptop! So...if you have a laptop, you are stuck with some cut-down version of the GPU that they can fit within a certain spec heat and power-draw wise.
