And of course there's the Samsung 840 Pro Series which beat the Vector (and every other SSD) http://hardocp.com/article/2012/12/1...o_ssd_review/5

The Samsung 840 Pro is a revolutionary SSD in terms of steady state performance, beating out the competition easily in our trace based testing. The low latency and high sequential speeds are among the best we have recorded.
This is the one Anandtech estimated to last 70.1 years in an endurance test writing 10GB/day to the drive.

Not to rain on you and the 840 but that SSD has only half the life expectancy of MLC drives like the Vector.

Incorrect The Pro series uses MLC. It's the non-pro series that uses TLC.

    Edit: Here is the difference

    Samsung 840 Series (TLC): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820147189
Samsung 840 Pro Series (MLC): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820147193

I see said the blind man to his deaf wife.......

OK, thanks for making that clear. So it comes down to performance/dollars. Time will tell if OCZ can compete with Samsung's immense resources.
