    Ibercivis: A better link/URL

(this should probably be a sticky for this sub-forum)

When I hear about a new project that I don't already have bookmarked, I hunt down the project by a couple methods:

    1) I will go to one of the the BOINC stats sites. For Ibercivis, they all point to http://www.ibercivis.es

    2) I will google it. For Ibercivis, the first result is also http://www.ibercivis.es

Both of those results leads you to a site, completely in Spanish. You can sorta manage with google translate. But it's still crap, and a PITA.

However, if you point your browser here, it will be served in the language that you actually use:

    http://www.ibercivis.net

Thanks to POVAddict for the tip!

Now, why do the BOINC stats sites point to the spanish-only domain?

Edit: Also, the Ibercivis site is completely non-standard. And complete crap, IMO. It's missing a lot of links to some of the standard BOINC pages I consider absolutely mandatory. You can get to them like this:

    Take this URL: http://www.ibercivis.net/ibercivis/

...and then add to the suffix of the page you need to get to. You can find the suffix by going to a standard BOINC project site. For example, the application list is always at (url)/apps.php. So for Ibercivis, the applications page is:

    http://www.ibercivis.net/ibercivis/apps.php

    Your account page:

    http://www.ibercivis.net/ibercivis/home.php

    etc...

Edit#2: You may have to use the http://www.ibercivis.es address to join the project in your BOINC application. Not sure about that. I haven't tested using the http://www.ibercivis.net address.
