    Battlestar Galactica Online

It started as a bit of harmless fun, now I'm semi addicted to this free to play game. I'm Sarge104 on Scorpia, one of the more populated servers. I dare you to try Cylon, if you do, hit me up!

    Sarge104
    Faction: Cylon
    Wing: Soldiers of the One

I can provide some info if anyone is interested, just seeing if anyone else had tried the game.

Is that based on the original TV show or the new one?? I'm not a fan of the "rebuilt" show...

If it's not broken, give me 5 more minutes!

It's based on the Reboot of BSG.

@Sarge: I've created an account but won't have time to play for a spell. Though when I do, I'll look ya up.

It is loosely based on the reboot. You'll find old favorites like the war raider and the venerable Mark 2, along with more powerful escort and line ships. I do like cruising in the Basestar every once in a while .

I've been dealing with some health issues and a lot of work load this week so I've missed a few days of gaming. I've got to work this Saturday but I'll be on after dinner for a few hours and for some time on Sunday as well.

I hope you get better soon. I'll give BSG a whorl this weekend. See ya there.

Will be on in an hour after this posting for anyone that is going to try the game. I strongly suggest Teamspeak, Vent, or finding whatever VOIP the wing you join is using, it makes the game that much better. The chat system is ok but not the greatest and is prone to outages.

For the Scorpia server I can get Teamspeak addresses for both Cylon and Colonial factions to make the game experiance better.

    Re: Battlestar Galactica Online

    Update.

I have tried many times to log into the BGSO site to play the game. The result is the same, utter failure. I have reset my password more then once to no avail. I have also tried logging in using IE (Yuck!) and Firefox in Safe Mode. Still no joy. So I have resorted to submitting a support request. If that doesn't work, then I give up.

    Sorry Sarge.

Edit: Okay somehow I found a link on SyFy's site that worked. Now my issue is the M$ Unity App that is required to play the game....

So like JPM, what gives with this M$ POS...???

There is a 64 bit unity app that you can download but it is outdated, though still usable. The problem most people run into is the current unity version is 32 bit only.

Ack...!!!! What a pain. Okay but I still haven't heard anything on the potential hazards of running Unity. Maybe I'll just run it in a VM to be safe.
