    remove a machine via website?

Hi all. I have a machine that self immolated, and it had a lengthy queue built up of projects to crunch, due dates in November.

    Here it is: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_...hostid=7093920

The hard drive is gone, they're lost forever.

Rather than just let those projects expire, is there a way on setiathome.berkeley.edu that I can select that host and abort those projects? I'd rather give them back now than hold on to them, preventing someone else from getting validation.

    Thanks!
    Vic

You could contact the SETI@Home admins and ask them to manually abort the WUs. The query is really, really simple: update result set server_state = CLIENT_ABORTED where hosted = xxxxx. That being said, I doubt they will do it. Chances are they will just let them timeout and they will get re-issued to someone else. Eventually the wingman will get his credit.
