    BOINC v7.4.12 Broken Wireless

BOINC v7.4.12 seems to have broken my wireless connection to my router on 3 machines! 2 Windows 7 and 1 Windows 8.1. I uninstalled v7.4.12 on 1 machine and used system restore to a point before the installation. No dice. I used the troubleshooter on all 3 machines, without success. I have 2 Thinkpads on the same wireless network with v7.4.12 running fine--1 XP and 1 Win8.1.

I don't have clue about what to do. All suggestions are welcome, including switching to Macs

I have Tight VNC Viewer installed on all machines. and Oracle VBOX 4.3.14 is installed on the machines where the wireless has failed, but not on the machines where the wireless still works. However, VBOX was installed with v.7.2.42, and the wireless was working.

Only as a point of reference, I installed 7.4.12 w/o Vbox on 8 machines. The 4 that are wireless are still working as they should. 3 W7 and 1 8.1.

Nevermind. Turns out the computers that were connecting to the wireless router were on the N-Band. The G-band computers dropped the wireless. That band is likely beginning to fail. I reset the router and turned a fan on it. For now it's working.
