    Lost a HDD

I just lost a hdd on one of my hex cores. I did manage to find a 40gb hdd in my junk pile and am using that now, but it's a bit small. If anyone has a good deal on an unused hdd in your junk pile or a link to a good deal on a new hdd or ssd, it would be much appreciated.

Is this a dedicated cruncher where speed isn't all that important? If so, I'd suggest Craigslist - you can probably find old computer parts for free on there if you look hard enough... Worst case, I'm sure there's a cheap hard drive on there. I found a nice replacement cooler for my wife's machine on CL for $5.

    Yes, it's a dedicated cruncher.

Sorry bro, not atm. But you keep an eye on Newgg. They have had some mid range 64GB and 128GB SSDs at deep discounts ($39~$49) of late. Combined with that 40GB HDD, it would be more then enough to handle a cruncher. Same holds true for some 250GB~500GB HDDs I've seen on their site.

Thanks John, but I already picked up a Samsung SSD on sale. I actually bought it with bitcoins I mined. The bitcoin payment worked sweet at Newegg.
