From what I've read stand alone (non-USB) miners don't work on BU. I found this tutorial for the S3. Any chance following it will get an S3 to run BU?

I've asked about then S3 several times & have been told it won't work, as far as I know you need a USB Connection to run BU. The R3's or Rock 100 will work though ...

Not really sure, which is why I said nothing earlier, but maybe bfgminer like E-30 and DD had to use for the BitFury blades would work in this case too. Those are IP based devices as well and use a Proxy setting to send the info in to the pool.
