My understanding is that they are the team that shows up blank and only shows the team name after the competition starts.

Oh, and I'm finally getting U-Verse installed today. I did manage to load up a bit more work prior to going offline. Hopefully from here on out will go smoothly, as up to this point it has been a very painful experience.

1200 max, set ncpus to 40 and you're good. Don't forget up up the cache to 10 days.

    Re: Crack Nazi Codes Challenge

I need some linux gurus to help me figure this out. I have 5 linux VMs and 3 native linux installs. All running ubuntu server 14.04 and boinc-client 7.2.42. These systems download every other project WUs just fine but I can't get a single enigma wu on any of them. When booted to windows they all download WUs under windows just fine. 100% of cpus being used, no app_config or app_info files. Work buffer set to everything from 1 day to 10/10. Only project on a couple systems and resource share is set to 8000. This is all I get in the log...
17-Feb-2016 20:23:29 [Enigma@Home] Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
17-Feb-2016 20:23:29 [Enigma@Home] Requesting new tasks for CPU
17-Feb-2016 20:23:30 [Enigma@Home] Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
    17-Feb-2016 20:23:30 [Enigma@Home] No tasks sent
What the heck is the problem? I've posted to the project message board but no response yet. You guys afraid of my bunker drops so bad you had the enigma project admin blackball my systems?

    Re: Crack Nazi Codes Challenge

Well, I just tested and got plenty of Enigma work on my Linux hosts. Went from about 6 hosts having around 250 WU's total to now having well over 5500 Linux WU's downloaded. Personally, I'd blame 7.2.42. IIRC that one had some work fetch issues that were ugly. I'm on either 7.4.25 or 7.6.2x. For Ubuntu, try using the locutusofborg ppa to get the current 7.6.22 linux release of the client.

    So enter...
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costamagnagianfranco/locutusofborg-ppa

    Then install by entering?...
    sudo apt-get install costamagnagianfranco/locutusofborg-ppa/boinc

    or
    sudo apt-get install boinc

    Re: Crack Nazi Codes Challenge

Once you add the ppa with the add-apt command, you'll need to run
    sudo apt-get update

to get your local catalog updated to reflect the new packages available through the ppa. Then yes
    sudo apt-get install boinc

If you used a Distro repository to originally install BOINC, I believe it gets installed in the same place. But if you used one of the downloadables from the BOINC/dl site, you may have to fiddle around a bit to get your current preferences transferred to a new location.
