Thanks all. I'm officially OCD from all the micro-management it took to get there.![]()
You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
There really isn't a "trick" but there are some things you can do. When there is an intermittent project like there is now (FAAH) select that project only and use BPU set to request tasks every 2:10(that's 2 minutes,10 seconds). After that it's the luck of the draw. When there are no intermittent projects it's much harder to get them because you have to have at least 1 project selected. In that case set your cache to 0 and use BPU. Beta tasks will ignore your cache settings and you won't be overloaded with tasks from the project you have selected even when BPU keeps updating but you will get betas(1 per core only) if available. You'll have to manually start them if you want them to run ahead of your selected project tasks. The best way to do that is use an app_config file and set your selected project to -1 concurrent tasks. I have 200-300 cores available for betas only so when these 2 latest betas started it was a "perfect storm" for me to load up. Now y'all know my "secrets" and I'll never get to 10 years.
Another bonus from the last 2 betas was they were long running tasks.12-18 hours each for the most part. You can really rack up some time on those.
Awesome
