    Is there a need for an app_info for this? I've got the optimized app but haven't done an app_info in a while.

    IIRC, the rakesearch Opti packages actually include the necessary app_info.xml. If I remember the directions, you just need to extract all the contents of the package into your rakesearch folder and restart boinc.

    What Mumps said ... super easy. It crunches 7-8X faster than the stock app
