I think you'll love that rig. That case is soooo easy to work with. If you've never used an SSD before, you will love the install times of programs... goes like stink! I don't see a SATA DVD-ROM drive though... I assume you have one to spare to install your goodies.

I love my 2600k.. working it right now at 4.2Ghz on air cooling at 68 degrees with BOINC going all out.

Keep us informed of that build, it sounds like a monster!

I just got the packages this afternoon, but I've been too busy to open them or even post.

Yeah, I'm excited! Will post pics when I start working on it.

    Re: New 2600k

    Omg, I am so dumb.

I put my new pc together and ran into a few issues, but none bigger than the fact that it wouldn't boot. It wouldn't even beep or go to bios at all. I tore the entire thing apart trying to isolate the problem and nothing.

I sat there for a while in utter dejection with the belief that either my mobo or cpu was defective. The thought of having to rma either one and the wait almost made me type /wrists!!

Then I noticed that I hadn't connected the second power cable to the mobo. It was the small 8pin connector hiding in the top right. It had been a while since my last build and I had only plugged the normal 24pin power connector in.

When I figured it out... what a relief!

Only other issue was that my h100 cooler is just way too big to put anywhere. At least not without modding it appears. It may be that I don't even need it as the 2600k's supposedly run cool. I'm currently running on the stock cooler, but I may swap my noctua from my i7 and try to put the h100 in the i7.

    ...spent.
