@Beer - I will try one from my phone:

    Mobo: MSI $60: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813130590R

    CPU AMD X6 1035T - O/C to 3.6GHz, 6 cores @ only 95w, $99: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=31223609699

    RAM: Crucial Ballistic 8GB DDR3 PC-1600, $40: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148463

PSU: Cooler Master 650w, single 12V rail, 80+ cert: $50 after rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171052

    GPU: EVGA GTX 460: $120: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=96517630748

HDD: used per Beer or something cheap.

Total after rebate on PSU: ..........only $370........

I can't think of anything that would get you hundreds of thousands of credits per day like this would, for the price. What do you think?

@ F$ My Linux has no problem is working fine now, after a lot of work on the command line. I managed to restore the drivers I had uninstalled. I am starting to get very good at Linux since there is a good parallel with DOS. Man I am so happy I could do it by myself.

Many thanks for your help on this matter F$ and sorry to all of you for hijacking the thread for this bit.

Ok, I give my two cents worth.....

DO NOT USE YELLOW FOR ANY FONT ON A WHITE BACKGROUND! IT IS UNREADABLE! Please stick to dark colors on a light colored background.

As far as anything else...well hmm, I haven't been out pricing stuff and when I do, I don't build cheap, but this does sound like a fun thread!

Ah, so you use the default forum theme? I posted based on the dark theme I use. Oh well...... Noted for future reference.

    lol

I use the 'carbon' theme myself. closest thing to the old boards. Yellow looks great

I'm noticing we don't have to pick out a case for this build? Hmmmm....i'll give it a shot a bit later

Nope, that was omitted by Beerdrinker. I think the presumption is that a case is already in hand.

This posting appears to be from the April/May time frame from the mention of April in the posting, I thought it was informative.
