The ATI CAL 2.2/OpenCL implementation used by PG does not support all cards that work on MW, DNETC, and Collatz. To see if your ATI card will work on PG's PPS app, check out this list. HD 38xx and lower owners are out of luck.
Spring 2008 Race: (1st Place)
It looks like the bulk of the cards that we have (48xx, 58xx, 59xx) on this team should work pretty good then. What I don't get is what it's being so picky about on certain people's rigs. I tried Kat's rig today with a 4870 & 4850 combo in it, and it fired right up and started accepting WUs and crunching them immediately, just like my bigger rig with the 5870 & 5850 combo.
Not sure how these two rigs are any different from those that are having problems with the WUs. That's what's so hard about troubleshooting an intermittent problem!
Now, what annoys me to no end is that the GPU app takes .7 CPU per app to run! So it's running both my GPUs and 1.4 cores of my quad just to pump out like half or less of a comparable CUDA card.
So, not only are we at a disadvantage with the GPU credits off the bat; to add insult to injury, it's going to take up more of our precious CPU power (as in a LOT more) to get those lesser GPU credits...ah....
Which brings me to this: Love, War, and BOINC. All is fair in...don't suppose we were ever real nice to say Team Norway or LAF in the past so that they could help us crunch against S.G. and SIC, were we? Yeah...didn't think so either.
Any other suggestions?!!!
A few hours ago I started crunching PG on my i7 since MW is offline and so far no invalid results. Take a look here. When I first tried it on Sept 24th I crunched 13 wu's and had only 1 invalid result.

Maybe this can help someone...
As an added note, with all of this changing drivers going on make sure that you use Driver Sweeper. You should uninstall the driver package, run driver sweeper (clear out all the ATI related stuff), reboot, install the new driver package. Time and time again I see issues when I try not to do this and just upgrade from 10.10 to 10.11 for example.
Just an FYI: Catalyst 10.12 was released on 12.03.2010
Don't look now, but Sic blew by us last Sunday. They didn't even bother to wave on the way by.
We as a team are now in 3rd place.
Remember when we wanted a project to give us a GPU app?

Well, I can't get my 3850agp to work on pg.
