It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.

Great leadership does not mean running away from reality. Sometimes the hard truths might just demoralize the company, but at other times sharing difficulties can inspire people to take action that will make the situation better.

When we are on a team, the victory of the team is the victory of all. It is our duty to achieve a kind of commitment, that personal victories belongs to the team and the team belongs to everyone. And if a bunch of people is not a team then it is a mob and in a mob there are no personal victories or mob victories.

The United States, if you read the 'Federalist Papers,' is about disagreement. It's about pitting faction against faction, divided government, checks and balances. The hero in American political tradition is the man who stands up to the mob - not the mob itself. But that tradition spread to the world like fire in the wood.

Most of the stories about the American heroes, starts with the hero alone and finishes with a team, well organized by the sense of duty of each to everyone and of everyone to each and in the end is the team that wins.

The difference is in a mob the most eared sentence is: "It wasn't me". There are no duties or bonds between the members of a mob. In fact there are no us in a mob, only the shame of have been there.
