At the height of the Pentathlon I had 52 cores on my account PLUS the 50 cores Bryan put on my WCG account. Surely that would count for something? I must be missing something...
You have to run at least 20 different App's from any single Project or 20 different Projects or a combination of Projects to get a Star. Running just 1 App at 1 Project will never get you a Star or 5 App's won't either, it has to be 20 Different App's with 100 Hr's on each App to get the 1'st Bronze Star, then 250/500/1000/2500/5000 Hr's on those 20 App's to improve the Star to Silver/Gold/Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire Stars ...

Well you got the credits for my 50 cores, but I GOT THE TIME
It isn't really 20 projects for a bronze, it is 20 different projects -or- sub projects. So if you run something like PrimeGrid you can get quite a few ... just run them till you have 100 hours and then move on to the next one. If you are purely badge hunting and not worrying about credits, you can abort the WUs after you have your 100 hours and when the aborted WU reports WuProp will credit the time. WuProp grants the time x number of threads so a V8 can produce 192 hours a day.
If you go to the "main" page of WuProp in the list of links (ie your account, server status, etc) there is one called Badge List that shows what is required for each star and color.
EDIT: to expand on the WCG thing of you getting the credits and me getting the time - WuProp doesn't care what account you are crunching under it just gives time credit for the machine it is installed on. For example, to get 100 projects I crunched a lot of projects that I didn't want to show up on my main account so I attached to the projects with a phony email address. If you later decide you really do want that to show up just change the email address on the account to your real one. That is what I will do on NFS ... I had no intention of running that project but now that I will be for a while I will go ahead and move it to my regular BOINC account.

OK, I don't even know that I've crunched 20 projects since I added WUProp back in. Guess I'll have to crunch some more obscure ones if I want to get a little star thingy. Or I could just get one after my name by joining SICI* for free, right? I mean that's the defacto now isn't it?
Alright, anyone have some candidates of good projects I should consider for my 20 projects to get a little star? I will have to add some...but after NFS push I think.
Just to be clear... Like Al stated, you need 100 hours on 20 different project applications. So on a project like PrimeGrid, running all their sub-projects for 100 hour each, brings you 12 apps closer to a badge. IIRC, when a project has different versions of the same app, say one each for Windows, Linux & Mac, and all the apps are distinctly named, then there is the potential for adding 3 apps to your count. That is assuming of course you have hardware or VMs for each of the OS's mentioned.

I actually had to look that up in the Urban Dictionary.
Crank up the 7 NCI projects on each machine ... they are virtual freebies.
Feel like a little kid working on my first gold star.
