    Well I can personally attest to the usefulness of these extenders. I used mine on my AMD 810 system before I tore it down to build my son's system. Quality is above average. And it worked without issue.

    Yeah, I have seen those before. Just to clarify, does the Molex supplement the 12v of the PCIe slot or are the PCIe 12v lines disconnected on the adapter and the Molex replaces them?

    On this one it appears to be a supplement, which is fine with me. I've seen ones where the 12v line is disconnected and tbh they look really fragile since the last 2 wires are removed from the bundle, then one of those is stripped down hanging by itself :/

    Are these extenders long enough to run the gpu external to the case? For instance, can the extender stick out the card slot in the back far enought to plug in a gpu?

    Considering moving 6970 external securing it in place somehow instead of selling off gpu.
