So I take it this is something I'll have to sign up for, and it probably doesn't count anything we already did, right? Like I'll be starting at 0 hours the minute I sign up for badging?

You just have to run the WUProp Project to get the Star Badge from the WUProp Project, it's a NCI Wu, once you join you start from 0 Hour's because nothing was retroactive. The Project Automatically keeps track of your Hr's for each App you run. It takes 100 Hr's from/for 20 App's EACH from whatever amount of Projects or only 1 Project if it has that many App's to get the 1'st Bronze Star. It also only takes 20 App's from wherever Project/Projects to get the Highest Star the Sapphire Badge' but it takes 5000 Hr's x 20 App's to get that one. 5 Stars right now is the Max Amount you can get but that could change down the round. Looking at how the Badge was designed the Project could probably easily go to 9 Star's. I know Z has more App's on Board than I do but I have 123 App's right now with 122 showing Credit Hr's but only 110 over 100 Hr's. It get's harder & harder as you get more & more App's & some of the Projects just dribble out work for some of the App's so those App's just sit at the bottom of the App Pile waiting for more if you luckily enough to pick some up for that particular App.

You have to be careful not to run the same App's too, if a Project has 5 App's you may only get Credit for 2 of them because they overlap ie a GPU App & CPU App at the same Project may do the same work so only 1 Count's. Same for Versions of App's, if one is v1.00 & the Project goes to v1.01 it's still the same App & only counts as 1 App. So your better off to run the CPU Version because the CPU Version will take longer & thus you build up more Hr's.

It's sorta rewarding & gets some of the lower Projects some support that they probably wouldn't get it were it not for the Badge Hunters going for the Badges. Another thing going for the Badge at the WUProp Project will get you Higher Badges at other Projects as you try to build your Hr's at WUProp ... So it's a Win Win situation for Badge Hunter's & MM'ers & the Projects Win Too ... IMO

I just got a new Primegrid badge at CUL, it is that yellow or golden one on the right. Well was on the 15th but I only noticed now.

I am getting addicted to badges and as usual I am happy.

Steve explained it pretty good, and gave the links. Still, it's hard to explain, and I found examples to be handy. Look here:

It is a spreadsheet that I just copy/paste my star stats into every day or so, to track progress. But if you look at the last tab, it visually explains how the stars work.

@SteVe and Zombie - thanks for the info. Basically to get started I just have to re-attach to WuProp (which I just did on my rig) and then it will record the hours I'm crunching, as long as I'm crunching "project X" and attached to WuProp at the same time. I hope I have that right? If so I should be building some PG hours starting now...
