FWIW, this is what they do on my iMac with a GTX 680MX (this is a mobile GPU):

Genefer (regular): ~19.5 hours, pays 29,333, or 1504 c/h
Genefer (world record): ~220.5 hours (~9.2 days), pays 556,725, or 2525 c/h
(just for comparison, on a TITAN, the WR take about 89 hours)

Both use very little CPU, no reserving of threads needed, and both checkpoint. So if you are going to run Genefer, choose the WR kind. Both types of credits go to the same badge. The only reason to crunch the shorter one is if you need hours against another app for wuprop stars.

What ? 556,000 credits for one of those Genefer world record tasks ?
Now how kool is that !
I'll grab one of those after the GPU Grid badge comes in and see how long it tales to complete. Probably like 400 hours on my card.

No idea on the checkpoint frequency. I've never noticed any loss after quitting/starting BOINC.
