OK, I misspoke as usual. My foot is in my mouth again. I got it on the 6th of Nov. but I have the new one coming today thanks to the Egg. I hope this one lasts longer. Crucial said it was a trimming problem and I should power it up but not connect it to a SATA and let it just run for at least 24 hours. It is an MX 500 and the cure didn't work.

RETIRED. NO JOB. NO MONEY. NO WORRIES!

Crunched SETI Classic to the end.

EVGA 750 Ti FTW Newegg 109.99 after MIR. This is one of the highest clocked 750 Tis you can get:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814487028

Note: This is also one of the 750 Ti cards that uses a 6-pin PCI-e power cable. Good or bad, depending on your setup. Think I might pick one of these up myself

And the EVGA 750 Ti Superclocked 99.99 after MIR. Great card with no PCI-e power cable required.

Hmmm, somehow I missed this post. Sorry.

Anyhoot I strongly recommend that you disable Windows Disk Defragmenter on any system using an SSD.
To disable the service, right-click My Computer and select Manage. In the new window's left column select "Services and Applications". Then in the center column, double-click "Services". Now search for Disk Defragmenter, right-click it and select "Properties". If the service is running press the Stop button to shut it down. Then click the drop down menu for Startup type and select disabled. Finally press the OK button. That's it.

And while the services window is still open, I'd suggest disabling the following services:
*Windows Firewall (If you are running a 3rd party software firewall)
*Windows Error Reporting Service (Totally useless service)

I have all of those items and you are right about a totally useless service.

If you're not sending/receiving faxes with your computer because it's not 1995 anymore, you can disable that too

This ebay seller has some used 2-Outlet Remote Power Switches, which are normally $100+ listed at $50 plus shipping. I offered $43 for one and the seller accepted.
